Privacy policy
Effective date: 2026-10-07. This policy covers the Os Verbos iPhone app, its account and learning services, and osverbos.com.
The essentials: signing in connects your practice to an account. Guest practice stays on your device. This website uses no advertising or analytics scripts, and you can contact us about your personal information.
1. Who we are
Os Verbos is operated by Stanislav Slesarev, Lisboa 1000-103, Portugal. For privacy questions or requests, email support@osverbos.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a provider identifier and, when the provider supplies it, your email address. We create an internal account identifier. Os Verbos does not ask for an Os Verbos password.
- Learning information. Your practice sessions, selected levels, exercise and verb identifiers, correctness, use of hints or reveals, response timing, practice dates and mastery progress help the app track your learning. The learning records sent to our backend do not include the raw text of your typed answers.
- Device and session information. An app-installation identifier and session metadata let us authenticate requests and synchronize the right account. Session credentials are stored in the app’s device-only Keychain. Our backend uses hashed refresh credentials and encrypted short-lived retry records.
- Technical information. Requests to our services involve network information such as an IP address. We use hashed identifiers for authentication rate limits. Application logs record request routes, response status, duration and request identifiers. Our hosting provider may also process technical information to deliver and protect the service.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your contact information and the information included in your message. Please do not send passwords or sign-in tokens.
This website does not set application cookies or include advertising, analytics, tracking pixels or third-party fonts. Infrastructure services may process requests for security and delivery. Apple, Google, your device and app-store services have their own privacy practices.
3. How we use information
We use account and session information to provide sign-in, maintain account ownership and protect access. We use learning records to save and synchronize practice, calculate progress and support review. Technical information helps us operate the service, investigate failures and limit abuse. We use your messages to answer questions and handle requests.
Guest practice is saved locally. Signing in uses separate account storage and enables synchronization; the app may offer to import guest progress into your account. Signing out returns you to guest practice and does not erase either history.
4. Services involved
Apple and Google provide sign-in. Cloudflare provides website and backend infrastructure, including hosted application services and databases. These providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Their own policies also apply to their services: Apple privacy, Google privacy and Cloudflare privacy.
Contact us if you need more information about recipients or international processing relevant to your account. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or to address security and abuse.
5. Storage and retention
Account and learning history are retained to support continuing practice and synchronization. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not delete the server-side account. Contact us to request deletion or ask about retention for your information.
Sign-in sessions have a maximum authorization lifetime of 30 days. Short-lived authentication challenges and retry records expire separately and are cleaned in batches; expiry is not a promise of immediate deletion of every associated record. Operational, security and historical records may have different retention needs.
6. Your choices and requests
You can practise as a guest, choose whether to sign in, and sign out through the account screen. Signing out clears the app’s session credentials and attempts to revoke the server session; a device without a connection cannot confirm remote revocation immediately.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, receive a copy of or delete personal information, or to restrict or object to particular processing. Send requests to support@osverbos.com. We may need to verify your identity before handling account-related requests. Automated account export and deletion are not currently available in the app.
You may also contact the data-protection authority responsible for your jurisdiction. Find EU supervisory authorities through the European Data Protection Board.
7. Age requirements
Os Verbos is intended for people aged 13 or older. If you believe someone below this age has provided personal information to us, please contact us.
8. Changes and contact
We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the effective date. Where applicable law requires additional notice, we will provide it. For questions, contact Stanislav Slesarev at support@osverbos.com or Lisboa 1000-103, Portugal.
